In the third episode of season 12 of American Pickers, titled 'Big Boy Toys', the two pickers, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, are back on the road again, looking for rare and valuable items to add to their collection.
The episode begins with Mike and Frank arriving at a junkyard in Virginia, where they meet with owner Wes, who has an impressive collection of vintage cars and motorcycles. The duo is like a kid in a candy store as they explore the junkyard filled with all sorts of unique and rare vehicles. They quickly spot a 1970 Dodge Charger, which they have been dreaming of adding to their collection for years.

Wes shares stories about the owners and the life these vehicles had before they ended up on his junkyard.
After exploring the junkyard for a while, the pickers move on to their next stop, which is an antique shop run by a husband and wife duo named Junior and Lisa. The couple has a large collection of vintage toys, including Tin Man robots. The pickers are excited to find some rare and unique toys to add to their collection. They find a set of vintage Tonka trucks and a rare Mickey Mouse telephone that they quickly snap up.
The next stop for Mike and Frank is a local collector named Walter, who has an impressive assortment of vintage signs, including a rare "Palace Bar" sign. They also uncover a beautifully restored cigarette machine that's been in Walter's family since the 1940s.
The episode ends with the pickers visiting a collector named Larry, who has a massive collection of vintage arcade games and pinball machines. Larry's collection includes some rare and valuable machines, such as a 1950s Gottlieb pinball machine and a rare Spiderman arcade game. The pickers are in awe of Larry's collection and excited to add some of the machines to their collection.
Throughout the episode, Mike and Frank's passion for collecting and uncovering hidden treasures is evident. They are both knowledgeable about the history and significance of the items they come across and passionate about preserving the past. The show is a fun and educational journey through America's history and the unique items that tell its story.
