Ep 6. Pickin' With Jersey Jon

In American Pickers: Best of season 5 episode 6, titled "Pickin' With Jersey Jon," the hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz head to New Jersey to meet up with their long-time friend and fellow picker, Jersey Jon. Together, the trio hits the road to explore a variety of unique locations and uncover interesting pieces of American history.
Their first stop is an old feed mill, where Jersey Jon leads them to a treasure trove of vintage signs and gas pumps. Mike and Frank are quick to spot a 1950s Evinrude outboard motor and a rare 1930s Chevrolet dealership sign, but they face a tough negotiation with the owner who is sentimental about his collection.
Next, the pickers head to an antique shop nestled in a sleepy town. Here, they meet a quirky and enthusiastic owner who offers the team a look at her vast collection of unexpected knick-knacks and curiosities. Among her unique finds are a pair of antique opera glasses and a 1900s miniature train set.
After the antique shop visit, Jersey Jon takes the guys to a farm where they rummage through a massive collection of vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles. While Mike and Frank are thrilled to find a rare 1950s Indian Chief motorcycle, they soon realize that buying it could be a challenge given the owner's emotional attachment to the bike.
In the following scene, the trio makes their way to a World War II museum, hoping to uncover rare artifacts relating to the war. Here, they are delighted to find a treasure trove of military memorabilia such as old ration cards, helmets, and military ID tags. Among their more interesting finds is a rare Lee Enfield rifle from the British army.
The last stop on their trip takes the pickers to an eccentric collector's home, where they discover a variety of oddities and antiques. Among the intriguing items found here are an antique barber chair, a 1962 Geisha Barbie, and an old Victrola record player. While the owner of the Victrola proves to be a tough negotiator, the team manages to strike a deal for both the chair and the Geisha Barbie.
As the episode comes to a close, the trio reflects on their successful haul, excited to bring their latest finds back to their shop in Iowa. Overall, "Pickin' With Jersey Jon" is a delightful episode packed with interesting characters and unique finds that are sure to captivate viewers.
