Ep 2. Oscar Mike

In the second episode of American Odyssey, titled "Oscar Mike," the three main characters, Sgt. Odelle Ballard, Peter Decker, and Harrison Walters, continue on their separate yet connected paths towards uncovering the truth behind a major American military corporation, Societal Mining Corporation (SMC), and their involvement in a possible terrorist attack.

Odelle is still stranded in North Africa after escaping an ambush with her team and finding herself alone in the desert. She struggles to survive as well as come up with a plan to get back home and reveal the truth about her team and SMC. Meanwhile, she makes a connection with a young local boy named Aslam, who helps her fend off any danger in the area.

Peter, who is an ex-CIA operative, continues to investigate SMC and their intentions in his own way. He seeks out Samira, an old contact of his, to see if she knows anything about the corporation. She reveals that her husband worked for SMC as a security consultant and had found evidence linking them to the terrorist attack in Mali. However, he was quickly silenced by SMC and his family was threatened, causing him to flee the country.

Harrison, a political activist and SMC shareholder, tries to gather information by attending a shareholder meeting. However, he is kicked out before he can even ask a question. Frustrated, he then decides to hack into SMC's computer system and discovers evidence of their involvement in arms dealing and money laundering. He then shares this information with his friend at a progressive news site, hoping to get the story out to the public.

As the three characters continue to uncover more information, they realize that their lives may be at risk. Odelle is being hunted by a local militia and SMC's security team is on the lookout for anyone trying to expose them. Peter's ex-boss at the CIA also warns him to stay away from the investigation, fearing that he will jeopardize national security.

In the end, "Oscar Mike" leaves viewers on the edge of their seats as Odelle comes up with a plan to escape the militia and Harrison's friend at the news site is threatened by SMC. The episode ends with a cliffhanger, leaving viewers wanting more and wondering what will happen next in the high-stakes investigation into SMC's possible involvement in a deadly terrorist attack.
