Ep 20. Las Vegas National Finals (2)
- September 9, 2013
The Las Vegas National Finals continue on American Ninja Warrior season 5 episode 20, as the remaining competitors face off against the course's toughest obstacles yet. The course has been designed to test not only the ninjas' physical capabilities but also their mental fortitude.
The first obstacle, known as the Ultimate Cliffhanger, challenges ninjas to navigate a set of thin ledges while suspended over a pool of water. Many competitors struggle with this obstacle, including some fan favorites who are unable to make it past the first few ledges.
Next up is the Salmon Ladder, where ninjas must use their upper body strength to hop from bar to bar in a seemingly never-ending climb. This obstacle takes out more competitors, with only a handful making it to the next round.
The Spider Jump is another obstacle that proves to be a challenge, as ninjas must jump from a trampoline to a spider climb wall and then rotate to the other side before making the next jump. Many competitors struggle with the timing and precision needed for this obstacle, and several fall into the water below.
The Jumping Spider is a relatively new obstacle to the course, but it has quickly become a fan favorite. Ninjas must jump from a trampoline onto a wall covered in protruding foam blocks, then use their upper body strength to traverse the blocks and reach the other side. This obstacle requires both speed and precision, and only the best of the best are able to make it through.
One of the course's most complex obstacles is the Half-Pipe Attack. Ninjas must build up enough speed to run up a curved ramp and then grab onto a rope swing, which they use to propel themselves across a gap to the other side. This obstacle requires a combination of speed, strength, and bravery, and it proves to be a challenge for even the most experienced ninjas.
The Warped Wall is a returning obstacle that has stumped many competitors over the years. It's a simple concept – ninjas must run up a curved wall and grab onto the top – but it requires enormous strength and skill. Only a handful of competitors are able to make it up the wall and move on to the next round.
Finally, the ultimate challenge of the course awaits: the Stage 3 course. This grueling course is designed to push ninjas to their physical and mental limits, with six obstacles that require a combination of strength, skill, and strategy. The first obstacle is the Floating Boards, where ninjas must navigate a set of floating boards while suspended over water. Next up is the Ultimate Cliffhanger, a returning obstacle that has taken out many competitors over the years. After that, there's the Prism Tilt, a brand-new obstacle that challenges ninjas to climb up a set of tilting platforms.
The next obstacle is the Crazy Cliffhanger, which is a more advanced version of the Ultimate Cliffhanger. This obstacle requires even more upper body strength and precision, as ninjas must navigate a series of ledges that are just inches apart. The Flying Bar is next, which challenges ninjas to navigate a set of bars that are suspended from a spinning wheel. Finally, there's the Spider Flip, an obstacle that requires ninjas to jump from a trampoline to a spider climb wall, rotate to the other side, and then jump back to the original side.
As the remaining competitors face off against Stage 3, the stakes are higher than ever before. Only the best of the best will be able to make it through this grueling course and move on to Stage 4, where they will face the ultimate obstacle and the chance to be crowned American Ninja Warrior.
