In American Horror Story season 7 episode 5, titled "Holes," the story takes a dark turn as we delve deeper into the lives of the characters. The episode is packed with intense and twisted scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat.
The story mainly revolves around the aftermath of the election results and how Ally (played by Sarah Paulson) copes with it. In the previous episode, Ally discovered that the Cult is responsible for most of the terrifying events that have occurred in her life. She finds herself struggling to stay sane, and her relationship with Ivy (played by Alison Pill) seems to be on the brink of collapse.
At the same time, Kai Anderson (played by Evan Peters) has been working tirelessly to solidify his power as the leader of the Cult. We have seen him manipulate, abuse, and even murder people to achieve his goals. And in this episode, we see him in action again, as he takes sinister steps to further his interests.
Meanwhile, Winter (played by Billie Lourd) is dealing with her own issues. She is still grieving over the death of her brother, but also fears for her own life after realizing that Kai is becoming increasingly unstable.
As the episode unfolds, we see Kai enter a state of complete delusion. He begins to imagine himself as a powerful deity, and encourages his followers to do the same. He encourages them to drill holes in their foreheads to create a third eye, which they believe will give them access to divine knowledge and power.
This horrifying ritual not only demonstrates the extent of the Cult's fanaticism, but also the level of control Kai has over them. As the members of the Cult willingly inflict this gruesome injury on themselves, we see the full extent of Kai's manipulation.
Meanwhile, Ally takes drastic measures to protect herself and her family from the Cult's influence. She reaches out to an unlikely ally in a desperate attempt to turn the tables on Kai and his followers. Her plan is risky, dangerous, and may end up costing her everything.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving us wondering about the fate of our beloved characters. The tension and suspense are palpable throughout the episode, and the acting is superb. Each scene is carefully crafted and designed to keep us on our toes.
Overall, "Holes" is a shocking, thrilling, and terrifying episode that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. It's a must-watch for fans of American Horror Story, and for anyone who enjoys horror and suspense.
