Jake Long is a Chinese-American teenager who secretly possesses the power to transform into a dragon. He is also known as the American Dragon who protects all magical creatures residing in New York City's mystical community known as the "magical underground." In season 2 episode 1 titled "Bring It On," Jake returns to school after a summer of dragon training only to find out that he's lost his reputation as the school's finest athlete.
