In American Dad season 2 episode 18, titled "Magnificent Steven," the Smith family receives a letter inviting them to an annual CIA banquet where they will have the opportunity to meet the director of the agency. Stan is excited about the prospect of meeting the director and impressing him with his accomplishments, but is disappointed when he discovers that the director is a man named Jackson, who he believes is incompetent.
Meanwhile, Snot and Steve decide to launch a magic act and enlist Haley to be their assistant. The trio practices diligently for their performance, while Stan schemes to impress Jackson by stealing the Magna Carta from a museum. The plan backfires when Stan is caught by police, and he turns to Steve and Snot for help.
As the magic act begins, Stan arrives dressed as a magician and attempts to distract the audience while Steve and Snot perform their routine. However, things go awry when Haley becomes trapped in a box during a disappearing act, and Stan has to step in to save the day. Despite some mishaps, the magic act is a success and Stan is able to impress Jackson with his bravery and quick thinking.
In the end, the Smith family returns home and reflects on their eventful evening. Stan is disappointed that he didn't get to steal the Magna Carta, but is proud of his heroics during the magic act. Snot and Steve are thrilled with the success of their performance, and Haley is excited about the possibility of becoming a professional magician's assistant.
