Ep 15. Star Trek

In season 1 episode 15 of American Dad titled "Star Trek", Stan becomes obsessed with his new hobby - playing a video game on his home entertainment system. He spends all of his time in the virtual world and neglects his family and friends.

In the game, Stan is the Captain of the spaceship and is accompanied by his crew - Roger as the Science Officer, Steve as the Navigator, and Klaus as the Engineer. They receive a distress call from a nearby planet and decide to investigate. When they arrive, they find that the planet is populated by beautiful women who need their help.

As they explore the planet, Stan and his crew realize that they are in a world based on the TV show Star Trek. The women on the planet are dressed in revealing uniforms similar to those worn by the female characters on the show. Stan starts to see himself as Captain Kirk and begins to act out his own version of the show.

Meanwhile, Francine is concerned about Stan's obsession and tries to get him to stop playing the game. She enlists the help of Roger, who is also addicted to the game but agrees to help her anyway. They try several tactics to get Stan to stop playing the game, but he refuses to listen.

Back in the game, Stan orders his crew to save the women on the planet from an evil group of aliens. They engage in a battle and eventually win. Stan is hailed as a hero and is given the opportunity to sit in the Captain's chair on the Enterprise.

When Stan returns to reality, he finds himself disillusioned with his life. He realizes that he has been neglecting his family and friends and decides to make it up to them. He apologizes to Francine and promises to spend more time with her. He also decides to take Steve camping and spend more time with Roger and Klaus.

The episode ends with the family sitting down to watch Star Trek together, with Stan realizing that he doesn't need to live in a virtual world to be happy.
