Ep 9. Diners' Club vs. Chesapeakers

In this episode of America Says, we see the Diners' Club take on the Chesapeakers in a head-to-head battle of wits. The Diners' Club consists of four bubbly and energetic individuals who share a love of good food and friendly conversation while the Chesapeakers bring their expertise in regional knowledge and history. The two teams have their game faces on as host John Michael Higgins reads out clues to a popular survey question and the teams have to guess the top answers.

The first round begins with the question "Name a word associated with a carnival." Both teams seem to be equally matched as they buzz in quickly with answers such as "rides," "cotton candy," and "clowns." However, it's the Diners' Club who come out on top with their quick response time and multiple correct answers. The second question is "Name a country that starts with the letter T." The Chesapeakers are quick to buzz in with "Thailand" while the Diners' Club struggle to come up with another answer. The round ends in a tie with both teams having three correct answers each.

The pressure is on in the second round as the question "Name something people do to procrastinate" is read out. The Chesapeakers quickly buzz in with "watch TV" and "play video games" while the Diners' Club struggle to come up with any other answer besides "scroll through social media." The Chesapeakers win the round with four correct answers to the Diners' Club's two.

The third round proves to be a nail-biter as the question "Name an actor who has played Batman" is read out. The Diners' Club are quick to buzz in with "Adam West" and "Christian Bale" while the Chesapeakers are stumped at first. However, they soon catch up with their correct answer of "Michael Keaton" and tie with the Diners' Club with three correct answers each.

The fourth round is almost too close to call as the question "Name a popular type of cheese" is read out. The Diners' Club are quick to buzz in with "cheddar" and "mozzarella" while the Chesapeakers come in with "feta" and "pepper jack." It's a tie once again with both teams having four correct answers each.

The fifth and final round is where everything is at stake as the question "Name a song by Taylor Swift" is read out. The Diners' Club are confident as they buzz in with "Shake it Off" and "Blank Space" while the Chesapeakers struggle to come up with any other answer besides "Love Story." In the end, it's the Diners' Club who come out on top with five correct answers to the Chesapeakers' two.

Overall, both teams put up a good fight but it's the Diners' Club who come out as the winners. However, the Chesapeakers should hold their heads high as they put on a great show and proved to be worthy competitors. With high energy and quick thinking, this episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
