  • August 22, 2019

In the twenty-fourth episode of season 3 of America Says, titled "College Pals vs. Neighbor Friends," two teams of four players each compete against each other to guess the answers to survey questions given to a sample of 100 Americans. The teams are made up of friends who attend college together and friends who are neighbors. The host of the game show, John Michael Higgins, guides the contestants through four rounds of guessing, and the team with the most points at the end of the show wins a cash prize.

In the first round, called "Rapid Fire," each team has two minutes to guess as many answers as they can to a series of survey questions. The questions all have multiple possible answers, and the teams take turns giving responses until they exhaust all possibilities or time runs out. Some of the questions in this round include "Name a type of flower," "Name a type of pie," and "Name a clothing item people wear to be fashionable."

The second round, called "Triple Threat," is a bit more challenging. This time, the teams are given three possible answers to a survey question and must guess which one was the most popular response. For example, if the question is "Name a popular social media platform," the three potential answers might be Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The teams' goal is to guess which of these options was the top answer given in the survey.

In the third round, called "The Survey Says," each team is given three survey questions, and they must try to guess what percentage of respondents gave a certain answer. So if the question is "What percentage of people prefer dogs to cats?" the teams must estimate the percentage of Americans who gave a certain response. The team that guesses closest to the correct percentage earns points for their team.

Finally, in the fourth round, called "The Final Countdown," the two teams are each given 60 seconds to guess as many answers as they can to a series of survey questions. Each player on the team takes a turn guessing an answer, and the team can pass on any question they are unsure of. The team that earns the most points in this final round wins the game and the cash prize.

The episode features both familiar and new faces as contestants, with the college pals team composed of students from California's Biola University and the neighbor friends team consisting of residents of a neighborhood in Indiana. Throughout the show, the contestants display their knowledge of popular culture, common phrases, and everyday items, as well as their ability to make educated guesses based on survey data.

Overall, "College Pals vs. Neighbor Friends" is a fun and lively episode of America Says, showcasing the humor and camaraderie of the contestants as they compete to see who can come up with the most popular answers to survey questions. Whether you're a fan of game shows or just looking for some entertaining television, this episode is sure to provide plenty of laughs and excitement.
