Ep 136. Rockers Vs. Hippie Gals

In this episode of America Says, two teams, the Rockers and the Hippie Gals, face off in a battle of knowledge and quick thinking.

Hosted by John Michael Higgins, America Says challenges teams to guess the top answers to survey questions given to 100 people. The Rockers team consists of four members, all dressed in black leather and chains, who claim to know everything there is to know about rock music. The Hippie Gals team, consisting of four members dressed in flowy skirts and tie-dye, believe in peace, love, and good vibes.

The game starts with the first survey question: "What are things people usually put on their pizza?" The teams race to buzz in first and the Rockers come up with the top answer, pepperoni. The remaining answers include cheese, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and peppers. The Hippie Gals manage to secure the second-highest answer, mushrooms, and gain control of the board.

The next question is focused on music: "Name a classic rock song with a one-word title." The Rockers quickly buzz in with "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones, while the Hippie Gals are stumped. As the Rockers continue to rack up points, it seems as though the Hippie Gals might be outmatched.

However, the next question is tailored to their interests: "What are activities people do at a music festival?" The Hippie Gals confidently guess "dance" and "sing along" as the top two answers, earning control of the board once again. As the game progresses, it becomes clear that the Hippie Gals are just as knowledgeable as the Rockers when it comes to music and pop culture.

One of the most entertaining aspects of America Says is seeing the different personalities and strategies of each team. The Rockers are loud, boisterous, and quick to make guesses, while the Hippie Gals are more thoughtful, taking time to deliberate before buzzing in. Regardless of their approach, both teams are clearly having a great time playing the game.

As the final round nears, the scores are still neck and neck. The question is revealed to be "Name something associated with the Wild West." The Hippie Gals buzz in first with "cowboy hats" as the number one answer. The Rockers struggle to come up with an answer but finally guess "guns" as the third-highest answer. The Hippie Gals manage to secure the remaining answers, including "horses," "sheriffs," and "revolvers."

With the final scores tallied, the Hippie Gals come out on top, winning $15,000 in cash and prizes. The Rockers take their loss in stride, congratulating the other team on their win. As the episode comes to a close, John Michael Higgins signs off, reminding viewers that on America Says, anyone can come out on top.
