In America's Next Top Model season 13 episode 4, titled "Make Me Tall," the remaining contestants are faced with a unique challenge - height manipulation. The girls are taken to a photoshoot where they must pose as if they are towering over normal-sized objects using various tricks of the camera. The goal is to make the girls look taller and more elongated.
The contestants struggle with this task as some are naturally petite and find it difficult to elongate their bodies without appearing awkward. Others struggle with the use of props like ladders and oversized chairs that are designed to create an optical illusion. Some girls shine during the challenge while others fail to impress.
In addition to the photoshoot, the contestants also participate in a runway show where they must model haute couture gowns by a famous designer. This challenge proves difficult for some of the girls as they are required to walk in heels that are higher than they have ever worn before.
The pressure is high as the models are critiqued by the judges, including host Tyra Banks, fashion photographer Nigel Barker, and supermodel guest judge Chanel Iman. The judges consider the models' overall performance, their ability to create height through posing and the runway walk, and their ability to take direction from the photographer.
At the end of the episode, one contestant is eliminated from the competition due to their poor performance in both challenges. The remaining contestants are left feeling the pressure as they advance one step closer to becoming America's Next Top Model.
