Ep 8. Think Positive

All Saints season 1 episode 8, titled "Think Positive," follows the staff at All Saints Hospital as they deal with various patients and personal struggles.

The episode opens with Terri (Georgie Parker) trying to convince a leukemia patient, Jodi, to take a chance on a clinical trial. Jodi is initially hesitant, but after Terri shares a personal story about her own daughter's battle with leukemia, Jodi agrees to participate. Meanwhile, Ben (Brian Vriends) deals with a young patient, James, who is refusing to eat. Through some detective work and gentle coaxing, Ben discovers that James is being bullied at school. With this knowledge, he is able to help James open up and begin to see food as a positive and comforting aspect of life.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Eve (Jolene Anderson) is struggling with the news that her former boyfriend has a new girlfriend. She confides in Vincent (Christopher Gabardi), who suggests she focus on her work instead of her personal life. This advice comes in handy when a patient, Frank, is brought in with a gunshot wound. Despite the severity of his injury, Frank remains positive and upbeat. His attitude inspires Eve and the rest of the staff, and they work together to help him recover.

Back in the leukemia ward, Jodi starts to experience some unexpected side effects from the treatment. Terri and the rest of the team are able to quickly assess the situation and take the necessary steps to help Jodi recover. The experience is a reminder of the importance of staying positive, even in the face of adversity.

As the episode comes to a close, the staff gather together for a surprise celebration for Frank, who has made tremendous progress in his recovery. The experience has brought the staff closer together, and they all leave feeling motivated and inspired to continue their work at All Saints Hospital.
