Ep 1. Part 1

Alice is a Korean drama series that follows the life of a chef, named Park Jin Gyeom, who suffers from a mysterious case of prosopagnosia or face blindness which makes it very difficult for him to recognize faces.

In the first episode of the debut season, we are introduced to the protagonist, who works at a popular Italian restaurant in Seoul. At the restaurant, he is known for his incredible culinary skills but also for his peculiar condition, which makes his interactions with people very awkward.

One day, while returning home from work, Jin Gyeom witnesses a murder and immediately becomes the prime suspect. However, shortly after, he realizes that the killer is someone known to him, but he is unable to identify their face. With the police chasing him, Jin Gyeom finds refuge in a small restaurant named Alice, run by the sweet and gentle Yoon Tae Yi.

Without knowing who he is, or the reason he is running away from the authorities, Tae Yi takes pity on him and offers him a job at the restaurant. Thanks to his remarkable cooking skills, Jin Gyeom is able to win Tae Yi's trust and affection almost immediately, and he starts to feel at home.

As the story progresses, we see Jin Gyeom and Tae Yi bond over their shared passion for cooking and their unfortunate pasts. Tae Yi is a mysterious woman who seems to have a lot of secrets herself and we soon find out that there is much more to her than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Jin Gyeom tries hard to piece together his memories and figure out who he really is.

We are also introduced to some of the supporting characters, such as the cunning lawyer, Kim Do Yeon, who is representing Jin Gyeom in the murder case, and the handsome and charming detective, Yoo Min Hyuk, who is leading the investigation and seems to be both intrigued and suspicious of Jin Gyeom.

Overall, the first episode of Alice sets the tone for the series, which is a thrilling mystery drama with a healthy dose of romance and friendship. The show manages to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats with its fast-paced storytelling and captivating characters. With each passing episode, we learn more about the secrets of Alice, Jin Gyeom, and Tae Yi, making this show a must-watch for any fan of Korean dramas.
