Ep 5. Bushwack!

Alias Smith And Jones season 3 episode 5, "Bushwack!" is a gripping adventure where the two protagonists, Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry, find themselves in a precarious situation. The episode opens with the duo riding through the rugged terrain when they come across a battered wagon and a group of emigrants in distress. They quickly discover that the emigrants have been attacked by a ferocious gang of bushwhackers.

As the outlaw duo gets closer to the attack site, they encounter a beautiful and mysterious lady named Lydia who seems to be the only survivor of the brutal attack. She informs Heyes and Curry that she is in search of the man she loves, a cavalry officer who was accompanying the wagon train, and was presumably taken captive by the same bushwhackers. Without a second thought, the duo decides to help the lady Lydia with her quest and sets out on a mission to rescue her beloved.

As they trek deep into the wilderness, they come across a group of men who seem to be hiding something. When they interrogate them, they come to know that the men are in the employ of a wealthy businessman who has promised them a huge reward if they succeed in capturing the cavalry officer. Heyes and Curry are now convinced that the businessman is behind the wagon train attack and they set out to foil his plans.

Amidst a series of chases, shootouts, and cliffhangers, the duo comes face to face with the businessman and his brutal gang of bushwhackers. But, as always, Heyes and Curry have a trick or two up their sleeves, and, with the help of some unexpected allies, they drive the villains out of town.

The episode ends with a heartwarming reunion between Lydia and her beloved and a proud smile on Heyes and Curry's faces for once again saving the day. "Bushwack!" is a classic episode that showcases the true essence of the show- the charismatic duo fighting for justice and the weak, and winning hearts with their charm and wit.
