In the Alfred Hitchcock Hour season two episode "Anyone for Murder?," we are introduced to a couple vacationing in the south of France. The husband, Tim, is a rather introverted man who enjoys painting and reading while his wife, Sally, is a vivacious socialite who is constantly seeking new experiences. As they go about their day sightseeing, Sally is introduced to a friendly American tourist, Jack, who takes a liking to her and becomes the third wheel in their vacation.

As they enjoy their time together, Jack suggests they play a game where they each write down the name of a person they would like to murder and put it in a hat. Tim doesn't take the game seriously and writes down the name of an insect, but Sally and Jack both secretly write down each other's names. When Sally draws Jack's name, he brushes it off as a joke and they continue their vacation without incident.

However, as they return to their hotel room one night, Sally finds Jack's passport and discovers a shocking secret about his past. She becomes increasingly paranoid that he may actually be planning to harm her and enlists the help of the hotel manager to hide the passport and keep an eye on Jack's whereabouts. Tim initially dismisses Sally's fears, but as strange occurrences begin to happen, he too becomes convinced that Jack may be a danger to them.

The tension builds as the couple becomes more and more suspicious of Jack's intentions, but they are unable to get concrete evidence of any wrongdoing. As the three of them attend a dinner party, Sally becomes more and more frantic and finally insists on leaving early. They say their goodbyes to Jack and return to their hotel room, only to find that someone has gotten there ahead of them and ransacked the room. The couple is terrified and sure that Jack is behind the break-in, but a shocking twist reveals the true mastermind behind the sinister plot.

"Anyone for Murder?" is a thrilling episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end. With Hitchcock's signature style of suspense and unexpected turns, this episode is sure to leave audiences guessing until the final reveal.
