Alaskan Killer Bigfoot follows a team of seasoned Sasquatch hunters as they search the remote wilderness of Alaska for proof that the legendary creature exists. Led by experienced Bigfoot researcher Randy Brisson, the investigative team utilizes the latest technology and tracking methods in their perilous quest for evidence.
The show opens by introducing Brisson and his crew of fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts. Hailing from Anchorage, Brisson has spent over 20 years compiling eyewitness accounts and analyzing potential Bigfoot habitats across Alaska. Several reported Bigfoot sightings initially piqued his curiosity in the elusive cryptid. Now, Brisson has assembled a skilled team to aid him in his search, including tracker Justin Khosa and survival expert Camille Solomon. Though they all harbor doubts about Bigfoot's existence, the crew remains determined to keep an open mind as they embark into the dense Alaskan forests.
In the first episode, the team heads to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta following recent reports of massive footprints discovered near the Aniak River. Solomon notes that the remote tundra provides ample secrecy for Bigfoot to remain hidden. As the team scans the area, Khosa discovers several 14-inch prints that appear unexpectedly human-like. Intrigued, Brisson takes castings to analyze back in Anchorage. Though inconclusive, the footprints offer the first potential evidence that Alaska's Bigfoot rumors may be real.
Later episodes bring the team to the remote Brooks Mountain Range to investigate Native Alaskan stories warning of a deadly beast called the Arulataq. As the three spend several days and nights traversing the rugged terrain, they collect disturbing audio recordings of strange sounds echoing through the valleys. Brisson believes the odd vocalizations may come from a territorial Sasquatch trying to intimidate trespassers on its domain. Though the crew fails to actually see Bigfoot, the ominous noises convince them something sinister haunts the mountains.
As their investigation continues throughout the Alaskan bush, the team employs various tactics to try luring Bigfoot including baiting game trails with pungent sardines and utilizing moose calls. They also use drone thermal imaging to survey vast swathes of forest for signs of the evasive creature. During a stakeout near the Kanuti River, the drones suddenly detect a large heat signature which seems to walk upright like a human. The crew rushes to intercept it but find nothing, eliciting groans over another so-close Bigfoot encounter.
Though making little concrete progress towards finding Bigfoot, the team remains steadfast in their search. Brisson contends that they are steadily compiling clues which prove the existence of an elusive primate in the Alaskan wild. As the series progresses, Alaskan Killer Bigfoot provides an intriguing look into the world of cryptozoology and those dedicated to solving one of nature's most confounding mysteries.
