Ep 3. Episode 3

Air Ambulance ER follows the high-pressure work carried out by a team of keen medics who attend to emergencies and save lives while operating in the skies. The episode opens with the team receiving an emergency call about a road traffic accident on a busy motorway. A young lady has been involved in a car accident and is badly injured. On arrival at the scene, the team is met with chaos and confusion as other rescue services are already at the scene. They quickly identify the patient and go to work assessing her injuries and finding out her medical history. The patient is found to have internal bleeding, and this causes alarm for the team as they know the situation can quickly deteriorate. The team quickly stabilizes her condition and works hard to keep her conscious as she is flown to the hospital where she will be undergoing surgery.

The team is called out again, this time to help a cyclist who has suffered a serious fall while racing. Once again, the team quickly prepares and takes off from the base. Upon arrival at the scene, we see how a fall from the bike has caused significant head injuries to the patient, who struggles to breathe. In a panic, the patient's friend explains to the paramedic what happened, and the team takes over from there. They quickly find that the patient’s injuries are severe, and they are worried about the possibility of internal bleeding.

Due to the severity of the injury, the team decides to take the patient to the nearest specialist hospital where they can operate on head injuries. The team works hard to keep the patient stable as they fly to the hospital. We see the teamwork on display, with the team communicating effectively to ensure that every detail is addressed.

The show also follows the team as they are tasked with rescuing a farmer who has become impaled on one of the tools he was using. The farmer was working on the field when he accidentally fell on top of the tool, causing it to pierce his body. The team faces a new challenge that requires a different set of tools and skills than the previous cases. They are required to stabilize the patient and remove him from the impaled condition as fast as they can to prevent loss of blood.

The team uses all the tools and equipment at their disposal as they work to stabilize him on site. They succeed in keeping him stable as they fly to the nearest hospital where they can have proper surgery. We can see the tension as the paramedics work under pressure to ensure that the patient's chances of survival remain as high as possible.
