Aguila Roja is a popular Spanish television series that aired on TVE from 2009 to 2016. The show is a historical drama set in the 17th century during the reign of King Philip IV of Spain. It follows the story of Diego de la Vega, also known as Aguila Roja, a masked hero who fights for justice and defends the weak and oppressed.

David Janer i Oliveras plays the lead role of Aguila Roja, a nobleman who was forced to live in anonymity after being falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. With the help of his trusted ally Satur (played by Javier Guti), Aguila Roja fights against corruption and injustice, using his skills and intelligence to outwit his enemies and protect the innocent.

The show is known for its exciting action sequences and swashbuckling sword fights, as well as its engaging storyline and well-developed characters. Each episode features a new challenge for Aguila Roja to overcome, such as rescuing kidnapped villagers, exposing corrupt officials, or thwarting the plans of enemy spies.

Aguila Roja is not just an action-packed adventure series, however. It also explores deeper themes such as love, loyalty, and sacrifice. Diego de la Vega must balance his responsibilities as a hero with his obligations to his family and friends, and he must often make difficult choices that put him in danger and require him to put his own life on the line.
