In China, Williams flies over the impressive skyline of Shanghai, where he sees how this technology-driven city has sprung up in just a few decades. He also explores the Great Wall of China, the Terracotta Army, and the picturesque water town of Wuzhen. Williams leaves China and heads towards Southeast Asia, where he visits Cambodia and its captivating ancient temples of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Williams' aerial journey continues to Vietnam, Laos, Burma, Thailand, and the stunning islands of Indonesia. In Thailand, he soars above the ruins of Ayutthaya- an ancient capital and the cradle of Thai civilisation. Then, he heads to Burma, a country that has remained isolated through the years, where Williams gets a rare glimpse of its stunning natural beauty and the art of hot air balloon riding.
The documentary also takes viewers to The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore, among other locations. In the Philippines, Williams takes viewers to Cebu, where they see colonies of whale sharks swimming around and enjoy its turquoise waters. He also delves into the beautiful mountain terrain and colorful marine life of Malaysia, before heading to one of Asia's smallest countries, Singapore.
The series also explores historical sites and natural wonders such as Bagan in Burma, where over 2000 temples are spread across its beautiful landscape, a testament to the profound Buddhist devotion of the local inhabitants. Williams flies over Indonesia, the largest archipelago in the world, wherein Sumatra, he observes the beautiful Orangutans in their natural habitat.
Throughout the series, Williams educates viewers about the various cultures, traditions, and history of these beautiful countries while showcasing their breathtaking landscapes from above. He also investigates the impact of modernization on these naturally beautiful countries, and the ways in which they still try to preserve their unique identities, customs and traditions.
