Finn and Jake return to the Treehouse to find a surprise waiting for them in the form of a little brother. BMO, the lovable sentient video game console, has apparently created a younger brother out of various spare electronic parts. The new arrival is named Neptr, short for "Never-Ending Pie-Throwing Robot," and he quickly becomes enamored with his "big bros" Finn and Jake.
Despite his initial adoration, Neptr soon realizes that Finn and Jake aren't as impressed with his pie-throwing abilities as he thought they would be. Feeling rejected, he sets out to prove his worth to them by embarking on a series of dangerous quests and feats. However, his efforts only lead to trouble and chaos, as his lack of experience and poor decision-making repeatedly put himself and others in danger.
As Neptr becomes more consumed by his need to impress Finn and Jake, BMO begins to feel left out and forgotten. BMO, who had always been Finn and Jake's companion, starts to feel unimportant and replaced by Neptr. This leads to a deep sense of insecurity and jealousy within BMO, who can't help but feel envious of Neptr's ability to capture Finn and Jake's attention.
Meanwhile, Finn and Jake try their best to mentor Neptr and guide him on the right path. However, they quickly realize that Neptr's reckless and impulsive behavior is too much for them to handle on their own. They turn to Princess Bubblegum for help, who agrees to take Neptr in and teach him the ways of science and engineering.
Under Princess Bubblegum's guidance, Neptr begins to thrive and find his place in the world. He learns how to be responsible and use his pie-throwing abilities for good, rather than just for attention. BMO also learns a valuable lesson about friendship and acceptance, as Finn and Jake reassure him that he will always be their original and beloved companion.
In the end, Neptr returns to the Treehouse a changed robot, with newfound respect and admiration for Finn, Jake, and BMO. The episode concludes with the three friends sitting together, enjoying a pie-filled game on BMO's screen, as they welcome Neptr into their family.
Little Brother is a heartwarming and humorous episode that explores the themes of sibling rivalry, jealousy, and the importance of friendship. It highlights the power of mentoring and guidance, and the ability of even the most unlikely of characters to grow and learn. With its colorful animation, witty humor, and heartfelt moments, Little Brother is a must-watch for Adventure Time fans young and old.
