In Adventure Time season 5 episode 32, titled "Earth & Water," Finn and Jake stumble upon a mysterious island in the middle of the ocean. The island is inhabited by a group of creatures who appear to be made out of plants and water. The creatures are known as "Water Hydras," and they are in constant conflict with another group of creatures known as "The Fire Kingdom."
Finn and Jake soon discover that the Water Hydras possess the power to control the water and the land, while the Fire Kingdom has the power to control fire. The two groups have been waging war against each other for years, and there seems to be no end in sight.
As Finn and Jake navigate through the island, they come across a Water Hydra named "Peri." Peri is the leader of the Water Hydras, and she agrees to allow Finn and Jake to stay on the island as long as they remain neutral in the conflict.
Finn and Jake soon learn that the Water Hydras have been losing the war against the Fire Kingdom. The Fire Kingdom has been burning down the Water Hydras' homes and crops, leaving them with no food or shelter. Finn and Jake decide to help the Water Hydras and come up with a plan to defeat the Fire Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Princess Bubblegum is contacted by the Fire Kingdom's ruler, "Flame Princess." Flame Princess wants to make peace with the Water Hydras and end the war. Princess Bubblegum agrees to help and sends a group of her scientists to the island to negotiate a peace treaty.
However, the negotiations do not go as planned. The Fire Kingdom's scientist, "Flame King," sabotages the peace talks and convinces the Water Hydras that the Fire Kingdom will never stop attacking them. The Water Hydras become enraged and declare war on the Fire Kingdom once again.
Finn and Jake's plan to defeat the Fire Kingdom is ultimately successful, and the Water Hydras are able to reclaim their land and homes. The conflict between the Water Hydras and the Fire Kingdom comes to an end, and they are able to coexist peacefully on the island.
In the end, Finn and Jake must leave the island and continue on their adventures. They say their goodbyes to Peri and the Water Hydras, and promise to return someday. The episode ends on a hopeful note as the Water Hydras and the Fire Kingdom begin to rebuild their damaged relationship.
