The show retains Adventure Time's signature surreal, post-apocalyptic setting but with a fresh feminine twist. The Candy Kingdom is made of sweet cotton candy. The Ice Kingdom glistens with sparkling ice crystals. Lumpy Space is a magical land that exists in a purple cloud. Strange and wonderful creatures inhabit these realms like cinnamon bun people, living vegetables, and laser-shooting sharks.

At its core, the show is about the power of loyal friendship. Fionna and Cake share an unbreakable bond as sisters. They fully support each other, share secrets, and will fearlessly protect one another. Their teamwork always saves the day!
