Ep 39. Cougar Caught on Camera Hunting for Beaver at DB Cooper Pond

As much as humans are all around the world, there are wildlife animals that are also living within our communities but we barely notice them. These animals such as mountain lions, deer, and raccoons roam around the outskirts of neighborhoods or sometimes venture in to look for food amongst the trash and scraps from the houses nearby. For this week's episode, the Adventure Agents team made a trip to the woods of DB Cooper Pond where a frightening sighting of a cougar on the hunt for beaver has been reported.

DB Cooper Pond is a serene place located deep within the woods and is said to have been named after the infamous hijacker who jumped from a plane with a hefty ransom and was never seen again. The pond is a watering hole for beavers, otters, and other wildlife animals living in the area who rely on the pond for their survival. The locals have reported of a cougar sighted in the area and since then, they became fearful that their natural wildlife are in danger.

The beaver was caught off guard and minimalizes the effort to escape quickly but the cougar's strength and agility was too much to handle as a predator. The camera captured the moment when the cougar pounced on the beaver, crushing its neck with one swift bite.

As the other cougar made its appearance on the scene, the team got a glimpse of how the two cougars interact. It appeared that the second cougar was tagging along for the hunt, almost waiting for its turn to seize its prey. The camera captured thrilling footage of two cougars in one monitor, another rare moment for the team.
