Actually, I am... is a romantic-comedy anime television series that tells the story of Asahi Kuromine, who vows to uncover the truth about his crush, a mysterious and quiet classmate named Youko Shiragami, who he suspects might be a vampire. In season 1 episode 8, titled Let's Save the World!, Asahi and Youko team up to save the world from an impending alien invasion.
The episode begins with Asahi and his friends witnessing a spaceship crash near their school. They rush to the scene, only to find an injured alien inside the wreckage. The alien, named Spica, reveals that her planet is being invaded by a hostile race of aliens and pleads for Asahi's help in stopping them.
Asahi is hesitant at first, but Youko, who turns out to be a half-vampire and has superhuman strength and speed, convinces him to take up the challenge. Asahi, Youko, and Spica team up to travel to Spica's home planet, where they join forces with a group of resistance fighters led by Spica's older sister.
Asahi and his companions soon find out that the invaders are after a powerful crystal that grants its owner unlimited power. The crystal is hidden in a secret temple guarded by a fearsome beast. Asahi and Youko manage to sneak into the temple and retrieve the crystal, but they are ambushed by the invaders on their way out.
Asahi and Youko fight valiantly, but they are outnumbered and outmatched. Just when all seems lost, Spica reveals that she has the ability to control the power of the crystal. She uses the crystal's power to transform herself into a giant robot and engages the invaders in a fierce battle.
Asahi and Youko watch in awe as Spica singlehandedly defeats the invaders and saves her planet from destruction. As the dust settles, Spica bids farewell to her new friends and returns home, grateful for the help they provided.
Asahi and Youko return to Earth, their friendship strengthened by the bond forged during their adventure. As they walk home, Asahi wonders what other secrets Youko might be hiding, but decides that for now, it doesn't matter. What matters is the present, and the fact that he has a loyal friend who will fight alongside him no matter what.
