Edina Monsoon, a fashion PR and her best friend Patsy Stone get on board to launch a magazine after realizing their dissatisfaction with the media industry. Edina's daughter, Saffron, is tasked with interviewing and hiring a suitable editor for the magazine, and as luck would have it, her former teacher, Miss Babs, is a perfect fit.
To celebrate the successful start of the magazine, Patsy and Edina plan a party at a grander scale than ever before. They invite all their influential friends from the media industry to the party, including fashion journalists and photographers, expecting to amaze them with their latest accomplishment.
However, things take an unexpected turn as Saffron picks up one of Miss Barb's manuscripts for the magazine and discovers that it is full of self-pity and depression. As Saffron expresses her concern and pain, Edina dismisses it and directs everyone's attention to the party's upcoming event.
Meanwhile, Patsy runs into a problematic situation while trying to hire topless male models for the launch event. She ends up recruiting a group of Romanian builders as models, but they turn out to be uncooperative and cause chaos at the party.
As the party progresses, Edina's and Patsy's guests discover that the magazine's contents are neither polished nor uplifting, resulting in their sudden disappointment and harsh criticism. The situation doubles Edina's annoyance and despair, leading her to have a drunken outburst and causing the crowd to disperse.
After the disastrous launch event, Saffron confronts Edina and shares her grievances over her mother's inconsiderate behavior. Moreover, Frank, Patsy's former husband, visits her at the office and convinces her to relinquish the magazine's rights to his company, hoping to turn it into a successful venture.
The episode ends with Edina, Patsy, and Saffron, tormented by their individual problems, talking in the living room. Edina decides to cut the magazine's losses and move on, while Patsy counters with a tough-minded stance, stating that they shouldn't give up the fight and continue to push ahead. The episode concludes with Edina struggling with the difficult decision of letting go of something she passionately worked on.
