A Town Where You Live is a Japanese romantic drama television series that aired from July to December 2012 on TV Tokyo. It is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kouji Seo and produced by Gonzo Studios. The show follows the life of Haruto Kirishima, a high school boy who moves from Hiroshima to Tokyo to attend a vocational school. He stays with his childhood friend, Yuzuki Eba, who also moved to Tokyo, but for personal reasons. However, their reunion is not as happy as Haruto expected when he finds out that Yuzuki has a boyfriend and is planning to move back to Hiroshima soon.

Feeling betrayed and hurt, Haruto develops feelings for a girl in his school named Nanami Kanzaki, who has a crush on him. As Haruto tries to move on from Yuzuki, he also discovers that the girl he loves has some secrets of her own. Meanwhile, Yuzuki struggles to reconcile her feelings for Haruto and her commitment to her long-distance boyfriend.

As the story unfolds, the characters face various challenges in their personal and romantic lives. Haruto deals with jealousy, insecurity, and the pressure to follow his dreams, while Yuzuki struggles with guilt, fear, and the consequences of her decisions. Nanami, on the other hand, faces rejection, bullying, and the need to find her own identity and purpose.

The show explores themes of love, friendship, family, and growth, as the characters navigate their way through adolescence and adulthood. It also depicts the cultural differences and similarities between the rural and urban areas of Japan, as well as the challenges of long-distance relationships and communication.

The cast of A Town Where You Live includes a mix of experienced and newcomer actors, such as Shuntarō Yanagi, Suzuka Ohgo, and Ayane Sakura. They deliver convincing and emotional performances, portraying the complexities and nuances of their characters' personalities and relationships.

The show's production values are of high quality, with beautiful cinematography, music, and art direction. The cityscapes of Tokyo and Hiroshima are vividly depicted, as well as the natural sceneries of the countryside. The opening and ending themes, "Sentimental Love" and "Kimiiro" respectively, are catchy and memorable, adding to the show's romantic atmosphere.

Overall, A Town Where You Live is a compelling and engaging drama that will appeal to fans of the romance genre. Its realistic portrayal of the ups and downs of teenage relationships, as well as its exploration of Japanese culture and society, make it a must-watch for anyone interested in Japanese TV and cinema.
