Ep 2. Not with Kindness

DCI Jack Frost is back in the second episode of A Touch of Frost series 1 titled "Not with Kindness". The episode opens with a shocking discovery as the body of a young woman is found in a local churchyard. The victim is identified as Tracey Uphill, a 19-year-old girl who was popular in the local pub circuit. With no apparent motive for the murder, Frost and his team are plunged into a race against time to solve the case before more victims appear.

As the investigation unfolds, Frost discovers that Tracey's past may provide some clues. She had previously been in a violent relationship with her ex-boyfriend, who happens to be one of the pub regulars. Although he is initially their prime suspect, Frost is soon forced to consider other possibilities as more details emerge.

With the help of WPC Hazel Wallace, Frost continues to comb through the evidence. Meanwhile, the killer strikes again and it becomes clear that they are targeting women who have spurned an unwanted advance. The investigation leads to a wide range of suspects, from the local brewery to the pub circuit.

Frost faces many challenges throughout the episode, including dealing with uncooperative witnesses and a young constable who is struggling with the demands of the job. However, he never gives up and eventually manages to piece together the clues that lead him to the identity of the killer.

As the episode draws to a close, Frost is left to contemplate the cost of solving this case. While justice has been served, he quickly realizes that there are no happy endings in the world of crime.
