In A Different World season 3 episode 6, titled "Delusions of Daddyhood," viewers are taken on a journey with wide-eyed and naive Whitley Gilbert as she discovers the challenges and joys of parenting.

The episode starts with Whitley's life turning upside down when her cousin's daughter, Kizzy, is suddenly dropped off at Hillman College without any warning. Kizzy's mother is dealing with personal issues and can no longer care for her daughter. Whitley volunteers to take care of Kizzy for the weekend, thinking it will be an easy task.

However, Whitley soon realizes that taking care of a child is not as simple as she had originally thought. Kizzy refuses to eat her meals and throws tantrums when Whitley tries to discipline her, leaving Whitley feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Wayne is dealing with his own problems. He's struggling with his calculus class and is feeling especially challenged by his professor's sarcastic attitude towards him. This leads him to search for a tutor and he ends up finding one in the unlikely form of Kile, the school's custodian.

As the weekend progresses, Whitley becomes more and more attached to Kizzy, despite her difficult behavior. She begins to see the child as her own and even starts imagining herself as Kizzy's mother. However, her delusions of parenthood are quickly shattered when Kizzy's mother abruptly returns and takes the child away without even thanking Whitley for her help.

The episode ends on a bittersweet note as Whitley realizes that parenting is a difficult task and that she may not be ready for it just yet. Dwayne, on the other hand, has found success with his tutor and is feeling more confident in his academics.

Overall, "Delusions of Daddyhood" is a heartwarming and relatable episode that delves into the challenges of parenthood and the importance of being responsible. It showcases the growth and development of the show's characters while providing a message that resonates with viewers of all ages.
