Ep 1. Back in the Saddle

Back in the Saddle is the first episode of the second season of the hit Fox drama series 9-1-1: Lone Star. The episode begins with the 126 crew reeling from the aftermath of the massive tornado that hit Austin, Texas, in the season one finale. Owen (Rob Lowe) and Michelle (Liv Tyler) were both severely injured in the disaster, and the whole team is struggling to get back on their feet.

In an attempt to bring some semblance of order back to the team, Owen decides to hold a training day. But as they set out on their drills, it becomes clear that the team is nowhere near ready to handle an emergency situation. Everything that could go wrong, does go wrong, and the crew is forced to abandon the training in order to handle a real emergency.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team is dealing with their own personal struggles. Judd (Jim Parrack) is trying to rebuild his relationship with Grace (Sierra McClain), but she’s finding it hard to forgive him for leaving her alone during the tornado. Meanwhile, newcomer Captain Strand (Tommy Martinez) is struggling to find his place in the team, and Paul (Brian Michael Smith) is dealing with some personal issues of his own.

As the episode progresses, the 126 crew is called out to handle a variety of emergencies, from a car crash to an outbreak of Legionnaires' Disease. But the biggest emergency of all comes when a massive wildfire breaks out in the city. The team is pushed to their limits as they struggle to contain the flames and keep the citizens of Austin safe.

Back in the Saddle is a high-octane, action-packed return to the world of 9-1-1: Lone Star.
