As the COVID-19 pandemic sweeps across the globe, the stars of 90 Day Fiancé are facing unprecedented challenges. In the first episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined, titled "On Lockdown," viewers get an inside look into the lives of some of their favorite couples as they navigate this new reality.
The episode kicks off with fan-favorite couple Darcey and Tom, who are now isolating in their separate homes thousands of miles apart. Despite the distance, their struggles are far from over. Darcey has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic, losing a close friend to the virus and grappling with anxiety and depression. Tom, meanwhile, is dealing with the fallout of having to close his restaurant and sees the lockdown as an opportunity to reflect on his life choices.
Next up, we check in with David and Annie, who are now living in Arizona after spending time in Thailand. Despite being in the states, the pandemic has still impacted their lives significantly. David has been laid off from his job and is struggling to provide for his wife. Annie, meanwhile, has been using this time to hone her skills in the kitchen and has started a YouTube channel to share her recipes with fans.
Fans of Angela and Michael will be pleased to know that the couple is still going strong. However, the lockdown has put their visa application on hold, leaving them in limbo. Angela is also struggling to manage her daughter's anxiety about the pandemic and the uncertainty of their future.
Another fan-favorite couple, Emily and Sasha are also adjusting to life in lockdown. Emily, who is pregnant with their second child, is now a stay-at-home mom while Sasha has had to switch to a new job in order to support their growing family. With the added stress of the pandemic, the couple is doing their best to stay positive and make the most of their time together.
In addition to the familiar faces, the episode introduces viewers to a new couple: Karen and River. The mother and son duo originally appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and are now back in the states. Karen is struggling with her health and has been forced to self-isolate, while River is doing his best to take care of her while also managing his own mental health.
The episode also checks in with the show's first same-sex couple, Tim and Veronica. The pair are no longer together but remain friendly and co-parent their daughter together. Tim is now dating another woman and dealing with the challenges that come with trying to date during the pandemic.
Finally, the episode wraps up with a heartwarming message from Colt and his mother Debbie. The pair, who are known for their unique relationship, are doing their best to stay positive and support each other during this difficult time.
Overall, "On Lockdown" provides an intimate look into the lives of some of 90 Day Fiancé's most beloved couples as they face the challenges of self-isolation and the COVID-19 pandemic. Through their struggles, fans are given a glimpse of the resilience and strength of these couples in the face of adversity.
