Asuelu and Kalani continue to have their ups and downs in their relationship and parenting styles. Meanwhile, Colt and Larissa's relationship hits a crossroads as they struggle to communicate and Larissa's frustration with Colt's financial situation and lack of intimacy reaches a breaking point. Pedro's mother and sister visit from the Dominican Republic, causing tension with Chantel's family and forcing Pedro to confront his loyalty to his own family versus his wife. And finally, Andrei's past comes back to haunt him as Elizabeth questions his honesty about his past as a police officer in his home country of Moldova.
