Ep 7. Series 2 Episode 7
8 Out of 10 Cats is a British comedy panel show that features celebrities and comedians discussing a variety of current events and trends. Hosted by Jimmy Carr, the show aims to offer humorous insights into the more interesting sides of topics ranging from politics to pop culture. In Series 2 Episode 7, Jimmy is joined by regular team captains Sean Lock and Dave Spikey, as well as comedians Russell Howard, Dara O'Briain, and Alan Carr.
The episode starts with the traditional segment called "What Are You Talking About?" where the teams are given a series of topics and must guess what percentage of people in the UK are talking about them. Among the topics discussed are Prince Harry, lottery winners, and ice cream trucks. The teams use their powers of deduction and guesswork to try and determine the most popular topic, with varying degrees of success.
Next up is the "Word Association" segment, where the teams are given words and must come up with the first thing that comes to mind. This can be a risky game, as it often leads to hilarious results. In this episode, the teams get words like "tights", "trollies", and "coconuts". As always, Jimmy is quick to make fun of their answers, leading to even more laughter.
One of the highlights of the episode is the "Buzzin' Round" segment, where the teams are given a series of buzzwords and must guess what they mean. This segment is particularly entertaining, as the Buzzwords are often obscure or downright ridiculous. In this episode, the teams must decipher phrases like "I'm going for a Fag Ash Lil" and "I've lost the lipstick".
The episode also features a round of "The Poll with a Hole", where the teams are given a poll question with one answer missing, and must come up with the funniest response. Among the questions asked are "What percentage of men would dump their girlfriend if she got fat?" and "What percentage of women would rather have a whale than go on a date with Russell Brand?". The teams have a field day coming up with witty and irreverent answers.
The final segment of the show is called "The Quickfire Round", where the teams must answer as many questions as possible in a short space of time. This is the perfect way to end the show, as it gives the teams one last chance to show off their comedic skills. Among the questions asked are "What was the name of Gazza's dentist?" and "What would you bring to a Cilla Black sex party?".
Overall, Series 2 Episode 7 of 8 Out of 10 Cats is an enjoyable and entertaining watch. With a great cast of comedians and celebrities, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, it's a must-see for any fan of British comedy panel shows.
