Ep 3. PK (a.k.a. Preacher's Kid)

In season 8 episode 3 of the family drama series 7th Heaven, titled "PK" (short for Preacher's Kid), the Camden family is in for a shock when they learn that Simon's girlfriend has a secret father who happens to be a preacher. Simon, played by David Gallagher, admits to his family that he wasn't sure about his girlfriend's father being a pastor until he attended one of his sermons and was deeply moved by the message.

As the family gets to know the preacher, they soon realize that his daughter has a bit of a wild side, which causes her parents to be overly protective of her. Despite their efforts to shelter her, the preacher's daughter decides to rebel and leave home to pursue her own interests. This causes a rift between the preacher and his daughter, as he struggles with accepting her choices and trying to maintain his position as a spiritual leader in the community.

Meanwhile, Matt, played by Barry Watson, is continuing to adjust to his new job as a high school guidance counselor. He faces a difficult situation when a student comes to him with concerns about her own father's abusive behavior. Matt must decide whether to intervene and potentially endanger the child and her mother, or to leave the situation alone and hope for the best.

As always, the Camden family comes together to support each other through the challenges they face. They learn the importance of forgiveness and acceptance, even when it is difficult to do so. This episode is a poignant reminder of the complexities of family dynamics and the power of forgiveness.
