Eric and Annie learn that a friend of theirs is getting a divorce, leading them to reflect on their own marriage. Simon tries to help Ruthie reconcile with a boy she hurt, but his efforts end up making things worse. Mary struggles with her grades and seeks help from Matt, who is dealing with his own issues. Lastly, Carlos tries to plan a romantic evening for his wife Cecilia, but things don't go as planned.
