Eric and Annie Camden's daughter, Lucy has been worrying about one of her schoolmates, Ronnie. She notices that Ronnie has been acting quite strange lately, and feels that something is wrong with him. Despite initial reluctance from her parents, Lucy finally convinces them to visit Ronnie's house to check on him.
Once there, they find out that Ronnie's mother has been very unwell and bedridden, which is causing Ronnie a lot of stress and anxiety. He is also struggling to take care of his younger siblings, and keep the family together amidst such difficult circumstances. The Camdens try to help out in whatever way they can, whether it is cleaning up the house, helping with homework or simply spending time with the children.
Meanwhile, Matt Camden, the eldest of the Camden siblings, has been busy juggling between his college studies and part-time job. As his workload increases, he finds it increasingly difficult to stay on top of everything. Tired and stressed out, he starts neglecting his responsibilities at home and his relationship with his girlfriend, Heather, begins to suffer.
At the same time, Mary Camden, the second eldest of the Camden siblings, has been struggling to fit in with her new friends. Feeling like she doesn't belong, she tries to take up different activities to impress them, but ends up making a fool of herself.
Faced with these various struggles, the Camdens band together to "do something" to help each other out. They turn to their own family, and their faith, for support and motivation to keep going. Eventually, they find ways to overcome their individual challenges and come out stronger as a family.
Overall, "Do Something" is a heartwarming and uplifting episode of 7th Heaven that highlights the importance of family, community and faith during tough times. It showcases the challenges that many families face, and how they can come together to support each other through thick and thin.
