In the 17th episode of 6teen's first season, titled "The (Almost) Graduate," our main characters are dealing with their impending high school graduation and all the emotions that come with it.
Jude, who might be the least academically focused member of the group, is concerned about his future prospects outside of school. Meanwhile, Jonesy is over the moon about finally finishing school and can't wait to start his adult life. He's already got a job lined up at a store in the mall, and is eager to ditch his high school persona for good.
Jen, on the other hand, is feeling a little lost. She's always been focused on her grades and extracurriculars, but now that it's all over, she's not sure what's next. She's worried about getting into university and making the right choices for her future.
Nikki is also feeling the pressure, but for different reasons. She's concerned about how her friends will change once they graduate and move on with their lives. She's not ready to say goodbye to her high school experience just yet.
Over the course of the episode, the group navigates their final days of high school, attending prom and dealing with last minute academic hurdles. Despite the stress and emotion, the gang still finds time for their usual antics at the mall, but it's clear that things are changing.
"The (Almost) Graduate" is a poignant episode about the end of an era. It captures the uncertainty and excitement of finishing high school, while also acknowledging the bittersweet feelings that come with saying goodbye to a familiar and comfortable part of life. It's a relatable episode for anyone who has gone through the graduation process, and serves as a reminder that change can be scary, but also exhilarating.
