The Story of Leopoldo the Llama is a heartwarming episode of 64 Zoo Lane season 3. It follows the story of Leopoldo, a gentle and timid llama who struggles to fit in with the other animals on the 64 Zoo Lane. Leopoldo's insecurity begins to manifest when he overhears the other animals talking about how he isn't as impressive as the other animals on the lane.
Feeling dejected and ashamed Leopoldo decides to leave the lane and heads out into the world on his own, hoping to find a place where he belongs. However, Leopoldo's journey takes him to some dangerous terrain where he discovers that no place is quite like 64 Zoo Lane. After an encounter with a flock of wolves and a narrow escape, he realizes home isn't so bad.
Meanwhile, the other animals back on the lane are starting to feel guilty for making Leopoldo feel excluded. They begin to search for him but it seems as though he's disappeared without a trace. However, their search leads them to the same treacherous terrain that Leopoldo visited and they themselves are faced with the same dangers.
Eventually, Leopoldo discovers that he is braver and smarter than he thought and with the help of some friends he made along the way, he returns home to 64 Zoo Lane. But his arrival is not met with the warm reception he hoped and he feels wary of being rejected again. However, the animals have a surprise in store and throw an unexpected party to celebrate Leopoldo's return. They tell him that he is an exceptional llama with his own unique qualities that make him special.
