The Lost Souls of Bucha

On this episode of 60 Minutes, we delve into the discovery of a mass grave containing the remains of hundreds of people in Ukraine. Correspondent Holly Williams interviews a team of archaeologists and forensic experts who are uncovering the truth about what happened in the village of Bucha during World War II. They believe that this site may be the location of a massacre that took place in 1943, when German forces occupied Ukraine. The team works tirelessly to identify the remains and determine the cause of death, while also piecing together the events that led up to this tragic event. We hear from relatives of those who were killed, some of whom are still fighting for recognition of the atrocity. This story sheds light on a dark chapter in history and raises important questions about the importance of remembering the past.

The Power of Grimsby

In a small town in England, a group of fishermen are taking on some of the world's most powerful industrial fishing vessels. Correspondent Lesley Stahl travels to Grimsby to meet the "David and Goliath" team that is using innovative tactics to protect their livelihoods and the ocean. They have been tracking the movements of massive foreign trawlers that are endangering fish stocks, and are now working to spread the word about their efforts. In addition, they are using their own small boats to create a sort of "guardian fleet," keeping an eye on the much larger ships and communicating with each other in real time. This story highlights the struggle of small communities against forces that seem too big to fight, and the power of collective action.

Coach Prime

In this segment, correspondent Jon Wertheim profiles Deion Sanders, the former NFL star who is now the head football coach at Jackson State University. Sanders has brought his unique personality and style to the historically black college, where he is working to recruit top players and inspire his team to greatness. We hear from Sanders' players about what it's like to play for a living legend, and from the coach himself about his vision for the future of the program. Sanders also speaks candidly about his own life, including his childhood in a rough part of Fort Myers, Florida, and his evolution from flashy football star to respected coach and mentor. This story offers a glimpse into the world of college football and the challenges facing historically black institutions, while also showcasing the charisma and leadership of one of the game's most iconic figures.
