Prosecutors claim Texas dentist Dr. Kendra Hatcher was murdered by hired killer Kristopher Love, in a murder-for-hire plot paid for by Brenda Delgado. After her ex-boyfriend started dating Hatcher, Delgado was allegedly consumed by jealousy and wanted to eliminate her rival. But while prosecutors built a case against Love and Delgado, they never found the person who allegedly made the introduction: Delgado's friend, Crystal Cortes. In an emotional interview, Cortes tells her side of the story, claiming she was unwittingly drawn into a web of deceit. 48 HOURS MYSTERY also interviews Delgado and speaks with the lead detectives on the case who describe the trail of evidence that led to Delgado in Mexico.
