Ep 6. Dead Man Walking

Ali "Toni" Hamady, a Lebanese-German who runs a small-time organized crime ring, is desperate to stop his brother-in-law from working with the group's archrival, the Lebanese Mafia. In "Dead Man Walking," the sixth episode of the first season of 4 Blocks, Toni has to juggle several different problems at once. First, he's attempting to plan a heist that will help him pay off his debt to the Lebanese Mafia. At the same time, he's trying to convince his brother-in-law Abbas to abandon his new job and return to working for Toni.

Toni's troubles don't end there. His partnership with the Turkish gang has begun to fray, and he's worried that the Russians will use their newfound power in the area to try to seize control from him and his six-man crew. Meanwhile, Toni's wife Kalila is pregnant, adding another layer of stress to his already complicated life.

As usual, Toni turns to his longtime friend Vince for support and advice. Vince, a confidant of Toni's since childhood, is one of the only people he trusts in the dangerous and unpredictable world of organized crime. But even Vince can't solve all of Toni's problems.

To make matters worse, Abbas has some problems of his own. Despite his best efforts, he can't seem to stay out of trouble – including a recent run-in with the police that Toni must help him navigate.

All of these competing concerns come to head in a tense and dramatic episode that highlights the show's strength in storytelling and character development. 4 Blocks has been praised for its gritty, realistic portrayal of the criminal underworld in Berlin, and "Dead Man Walking" is no exception. With complex characters, high-stakes drama, and intense action sequences, this episode is not to be missed.
