Fourth and Dick is the seventh episode of the second season of the hit television show, 3rd Rock from the Sun. The show follows the story of a group of extraterrestrial beings disguised as human beings living among humans on Earth. In this episode, the focus is on two of the aliens, Dick and Sally.
As the episode begins, Dick and Sally realize that their bodies are aging much faster on Earth than they would on their home planet. This leads them to worry about how old they will look when their superiors come to bring them back home. They decide to try and slow down their aging process by, among other things, drinking massive amounts of water. Meanwhile, Harry, another of the aliens, tries to get in on the fun by eating an abundance of junk food.
The main conflict of the episode arises when Sally finds out that her fourth cousin twice removed lives in the area. Sally, who is struggling with the concept of aging, becomes fascinated with the idea of meeting her distant relative, who is several decades older than her. However, when Dick learns that Sally's cousin is a successful businessman, he becomes convinced that Sally must use the opportunity to network in order to further their mission on Earth.
As they work out the details of the plan, however, Sally begins to regret her decision to meet her cousin. She realizes that she likes the idea of being the youngest person she knows, and that meeting her cousin will shatter that illusion. Meanwhile, Dick becomes more and more fixated on the idea of using Sally's appearance to further their mission, despite her discomfort.
The tension between the two characters comes to a head when they finally meet Sally's cousin. Dick is immediately drawn to the man's wealth and influence, while Sally is more interested in finding common ground as family members. This leads to a conflict between the two, as Sally realizes that Dick's plans for their future on Earth are not necessarily aligned with her own desires.
Despite their differences, Dick and Sally eventually find a way to work together and resolve their conflicts. The episode ends with the comedy that the show is known for, as the aliens bungle one of their attempts to blend in with humans.
Overall, Fourth and Dick is a lighthearted episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun that explores themes of aging, family, and ambition. The show's trademark humor is on full display, and the chemistry between the cast members is as strong as ever. Fans of the series will undoubtedly enjoy this episode, which is classic 3rd Rock from the Sun in all the best ways.
