In "Stride of Pride," the third episode of the seventh and final season of 30 Rock, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) has a busy day ahead of her. After she and her new boyfriend Criss (James Marsden) have a successful date and spend the night together, she wakes up late and rushes to work. Liz decides to take the subway instead of a taxi to save money, but gets chastised by her coworkers for looking "disheveled" and "unprofessional" when she arrives at the office.

Meanwhile, Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) is dealing with a crisis at Kabletown. One of their top executives, Hank Hooper (Ken Howard), has died, and Jack must now navigate a power struggle between two of his colleagues who are vying for the CEO position. One of them is Kaylie Hooper (Chloƫ Grace Moretz), Hank's granddaughter and the youngest executive in the company's history. Despite her lack of experience, Kaylie is a formidable opponent, and Jack must use all of his business savvy to come out on top.

Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) is also dealing with his own crisis. He has learned that he has been inducted into the EGOT club (winners of an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony), but only because he got his hands on an award that he didn't actually win. Tracy is now desperate to win a legitimate award in order to prove that he belongs in such esteemed company.

As Liz tries to navigate her cluttered day, she must also deal with the fallout from an awkward encounter with Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski). Jenna, feeling threatened by Liz's success, had met with one of Liz's ex-boyfriends in an attempt to dig up dirt on her. However, the meeting backfired, and Jenna ended up getting drunk and sleeping with the ex-boyfriend, who just happens to be Liz's boss at "The Girlie Show."

In classic 30 Rock fashion, "Stride of Pride" is filled with witty one-liners, slapstick humor, and offbeat side characters. It's also a showcase for the series' talented ensemble cast, who provide standout performances in their various storylines. As the final season of the beloved show builds to its conclusion, "Stride of Pride" is a testament to 30 Rock's enduring appeal and comedic brilliance.
