Leap Day is the eighth episode of Season 6 of the popular American sitcom 30 Rock. In this episode, the vivacious and lovable characters of the show celebrate the fun and exciting holiday of Leap Day, which only comes around once every four years.

The story begins at the stroke of midnight on Leap Day, which is February 29, when the TGS crew is invited to the 41st floor of the NBC building to celebrate the rare occasion. The festivities are in full swing, and the entire crew is gathered together, dressed up in costumes, and ready to party.

The normally uptight character of Liz Lemon, played by Tina Fey, is also excited about the holiday and particularly about her boyfriend Criss Chros, played by James Marsden, who is also enthusiastic about Leap Day celebrations. Unbeknownst to Liz, however, Criss has a surprise in store for her that will change their relationship forever.

While Liz is distracted with her personal life, the TGS team is struggling to come up with a last-minute Leap Day-themed show. Jenna Maroney, played brilliantly by Jane Krakowski, is upset that the one day dedicated to her birthday is being overshadowed by Leap Day festivities. She decides to take matters into her own hands and plans her own Leap Day-themed party.

Meanwhile, Tracy Jordan, played by Tracy Morgan, cannot handle the idea that Leap Day only comes around once every four years. He spends the day trying to make the most of the holiday, becoming increasingly manic and irrational as it goes on. In typical Tracy fashion, he even begins to believe that Leap Day is a government conspiracy and tries to expose it on live television.

As the day progresses, Liz starts to feel a sense of dread about her surprise from Criss. She confides in her best friend and boss Jack Donaghy, played by Alec Baldwin, who gives her some sage advice on relationships.

Finally, the TGS team comes up with a last-minute idea for their show, incorporating Leap Day traditions into the program. The show is a hit, but during the live taping, Jenna's party guests begin to wreak havoc on the set. The TGS team manages to finish the show, but not without some hilarious mishaps along the way.

The episode culminates in Liz's surprise from Criss, which is both heartwarming and surprising. It changes the course of their relationship in a way that is sure to have fans talking for episodes to come.

Overall, Leap Day is a fun and hilarious episode that perfectly captures the spirit of the holiday. The characters are all lovable and endearing, and the storyline keeps viewers engaged and entertained throughout. It is a must-watch episode for fans of the show, but also stands alone as a great glimpse into the comedic brilliance of 30 Rock.
