Ep 1. Season 4

The show 30 Rock follows the life of Liz Lemon, the head writer of a fictional sketch comedy series called The Girlie Show. In season 4 episode 1, appropriately titled "Season 4", we are introduced to a new character, a private investigator named Len (played by Steve Buscemi) who is hired by Jack Donaghy, the head of NBC programming, to investigate his wife's infidelity. Liz finds herself getting increasingly frustrated with Danny's lack of creativity and decides to take matters into her own hands.

In a moment of desperation, Liz turns to Tracy Jordan (played by Tracy Morgan), one of the stars of The Girlie Show, for help. Tracy suggests that Liz visit his therapist, Dr. Spaceman (played by Chris Parnell), who he claims is a genius. Liz is initially skeptical, but decides to give it a try.

At Dr. Spaceman's office, Liz is surprised to find that the therapist is more interested in flirting with her than in offering any real advice. However, Liz eventually manages to get him to focus and they begin to work on some new sketch ideas.

As the episode progresses, we see Jack becoming increasingly paranoid about Bianca's possible infidelity, and he begins to suspect everyone around him, including his colleagues at NBC. Meanwhile, Liz and Danny are struggling to come up with material that is both funny and original, and they decide to turn to some unlikely sources for inspiration.
