As soon as you arrive at day 26 of the 30 Day Yoga For Weight Loss routine with Julia Marie, you will dive straight into an Agility Flow. This practice will focus on hip stability, strength, and confidence – three essential components when it comes to executing more ambitious yoga poses.
As Julia explains, the Agility Flow in this session is about sustaining the level of intensity that you have developed throughout the previous days. This can help you maintain your fitness goals and help you push forward to the final days of the program.
The session begins with a few easy moves, including Child's Pose and Cobra Pose. These familiar poses allow you to get into your body and mind with deep breaths and stretches. Continuing the workout, you'll find yourself flowing in and out of poses that require hip and thigh strength, including the Warrior series of postures, which challenge those essential muscles.
Throughout the practice, Julia emphasizes the importance of hip stability and how it can help protect your spine as you move. She advises on correct posture and form, this not only helps you develop your muscles, but it also ensures you don't offer yourself any unwanted stress.
As the Yoga routine progresses, Julia encourages you to try out some poses that may be new to you. With confidence, she shows you how to move into the new postures and points out the muscles that are being worked out. Even if you find the routine challenging, you'll have the guidance and support of the instructor who will remind you of the benefits of each pose.
Julia Marie advises you to stay focused, keeping your breath in check. Steady, deep breathing is integral to a beneficial yoga experience, and she reminds you to breathe through each move to release any stress or tension in your body.
Throughout the practice, Julia offers modifications to improve or decrease the intensity of each move, which is useful for beginners or those who are new to Yoga. If you suffer from chronic pain or an injury, Julia narrates alternative postures that will offer a life-affirming workout.
Towards the end of the session, you will encounter a series of balance poses that develop confidence and stability in your movements. Each new position comes with its unique challenge that will require you to tune in carefully to your body to make sure you are offering your correct alignment.
To give the session a beautiful end, Julia gradually winds down the routine's intensity. After pushing your body to its limits, it's important to relax into your mind and body with some restorative postures. Soothing and calming, these final postures encourage you to sink into the present moment, enjoying the peace that follows a challenging workout.
Once again, Julia’s guidance and soft-spoken narration offer balance, comfort, and motivation throughout the session. And as always, you’ll come away feeling stronger, more agile and confident in your own abilities and discipline.
