Ep 7. Day 5: 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M

As the eighth hour of the fifth day unfolds, Jack Bauer and his team race against the clock to stop the imminent terrorist threat to America. President Logan is briefly taken into custody by Bauer, but he is released when CTU's intelligence division fails to find any evidence of his involvement with the terrorists. Meanwhile, investigations continue into the deaths of four Russian separatists who had infiltrated CTU's Los Angeles office.

Chloe O'Brian uncovers a possible connection between the separatists and one of Jack's former CIA colleagues, James Nathanson. Jack and Chloe launch a covert mission to find and capture Nathanson, hoping he can provide information that will lead to the location of the Russian terrorist leader, Vladimir Bierko.

As the team tracks down Nathanson, President Logan becomes increasingly anxious about his own safety and orders the mobilization of the military to protect his administration.
