Ep 19. Day 5: 1:00 A.M. - 2:00 A.M

Jack Bauer is at his wit's end as he desperately tries to capture the man responsible for the deadly nerve gas attacks, which have killed countless people and put the entire country on high alert. Meanwhile, Chloe back at CTU is under immense pressure from Homeland Security and FBI officials to provide them with vital information that could lead to the capture of the man behind the attacks.

As the clock ticks down and the stakes become higher, Jack realizes that he is running out of time and must take drastic measures to locate the mastermind behind the terrorist plot. He turns to an old friend, who may be able to provide him with the key to capturing his target.

Meanwhile, the President is under tremendous pressure as the situation spirals out of control, leading to a showdown between him and his Vice President, who has been working behind the scenes to take control of the situation and push through his own agenda.

As the tension mounts, Jack's actions become more and more extreme as he races against the clock to prevent another attack, putting his own life at risk in the process. Meanwhile, tensions mount within the ranks of CTU, as Chloe has to deal with the consequences of her actions and decisions on the previous day, and the overall feeling of despair and hopelessness that permeates throughout the agency.

As the episode draws to a close, the fate of the country rests on the actions of a small group of individuals who are willing to risk everything to prevent another attack and save countless lives.
