Day 3: 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. is the 22nd episode of Season 3 of the action-packed thriller TV show, 24. The episode starts with Jack Bauer, a former CTU agent, and his team tailing a lead on the terrorist mastermind, Stephen Saunders. They manage to intercept Saunders' call and track his location to a container yard in LA.
Meanwhile, back at CTU, Tony Almeida, the CTU Director, is struggling to keep control of the situation with the President's Chief of Staff insisting on declaring a national emergency. Tony is hesitant to do so as it will put the city in lockdown mode, making it impossible to capture Saunders.
As the clock ticks down, Jack and his team surround the container yard where Saunders is held up. Jack's plan is to capture Saunders alive to retrieve the antidote for the deadly virus that he had unleashed. Jack's team manages to infiltrate the compound and a shootout ensues. They manage to capture Saunders and retrieve the antidote.
However, Saunders has one final trick up his sleeve. As the CTU team is transporting him in a helicopter to the CTU headquarters, he tricks one of the agents into opening his handcuffs. He then steals the co-pilot's gun and kills everyone on board, including the co-pilot. He then radios CTU and informs them that he has a virus bomb set to detonate in Central Los Angeles, which will kill over a million people.
The episode ends with CTU personnel frantically trying to find the location of the bomb while Jack Bauer is racing against time to find and stop Saunders from unleashing the virus bomb.
