Max and Caroline attend a '90s themed horse racing event to get a wealthy man to invest in their cupcake business. The episode titled And The '90s Horse Party takes a hilarious turn as the girls dress up in bright neon colored outfits and bold hairstyles. Caroline wears a velvet top hat and a silver jacket, while Max wears a denim overall and a rainbow t-shirt that says "Cowabunga Dude."
The two arrive early at the event but quickly run into trouble trying to get in. They are forced to sneak in through an employee entrance to avoid the steep entry fee. The girls then proceed to explore the event, where they are astonished by the extravagant decorations, including people performing cartwheels and a "frozen semen" stand.
Despite their initial excitement, Max and Caroline find their target, businessman Timothy, flirting with a young attractive woman. Wanting to present themselves as legitimate businesswomen, Max and Caroline attempt to win Timothy's attention. However, their plan takes a wrong turn when Caroline bumps into a racehorse, spilling coffee all over her.
To make matters worse, Timothy's date, tasked with monitoring the Kentucky Derby horses, quits and Caroline is chosen as her replacement. As she struggles to control the unruly horses, Max continues to pursue Timothy. The tables turn when Timothy asks Caroline about the cupcake business, and she confidently gives him a detailed presentation despite her questionable attire.
In the end, the girls find out that Timothy is not as wealthy as they believed him to be, putting a damper on their aspirations for the company. However, they end the night partying with the other guests, enjoying the nostalgic '90s music.
